Draped Asymmetric Top
A top made from fine elastic knit, constructed as a loose drape around the body. The design begins with a narrow halter-style collar and flows down in a single line of fabric, forming a soft cascade of folds at the front while revealing the back and side lines of the torso.
At its core, the piece is defined by the contrast between fluid black fabric and the exposed architecture of the body. The material does not cling tightly but hangs freely, gathering into natural drapes and creating a sense of movement even in stillness.
The asymmetric placement forms an unstable, almost accidental silhouette — the fabric shifts diagonally, exposing parts of the waist and back. Because of this, the top feels less like a traditionally constructed garment and more like an object assembled by hand directly on the body.
The semi-sheer surface of the knit absorbs light, deepening the folds and enhancing the sculptural quality of the form. The narrow collar around the neck becomes the only rigid point of the construction, holding the entire draped volume in place.
The look combines eveningwear aesthetics, lingerie references, and experimental form. The top exists between clothing and gesture — like a fragment of fabric transformed into a silhouette.
